Notimúsica (Periódico HOY, by Jorge Ramos C.) (Historical retrospective: Musicalia, founded by Cuban immigrant Gilberto González Arena and wife Aida at Calle El Conde esquina Espaillat, distributed the Alhambra label (Julio Iglesias, José Vélez, Menudo). After this location closed, son Armando relocated the business to Av. Tiradentes (2008-2012), where it finally shut in 2012 as 'the last record store to abandon ship' on the old circuit. No exact month known for either closure.) August 2025
